Deepa Chakravarthy, Founder of Jvala, is a Mohiniyattam performing artist and an Indologist. She is an Indian art commentator, who writes a column ARTY AFFAIRS for The New Indian Express. Through her column Deepa brings out stories of the land, intertwining metaphysics, art and culture through the lives and works of artists dedicated to oral traditions. Apart from Indic art, Deepa’s expertise runs into Yoga and Healing chants.
