Situated in the Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is a North Eastern State of India known for its biodiversity. It hosts Kangchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world, and Khangchendzonga National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kingdom of Sikkim was founded by the Namgyal dynasty in the 17th century, until then it was ruled by Buddhist priest-kings known as the Chogyal. When the monarchy dissolved in 1975, Sikkim joined India as its 22nd state. There are many indigenous tribes thriving in Sikkim. This retreat is designed to experience terrace farming and a simplistic way of living.
Rejuvenate…
I found not the ‘self’; nor know it is what?!
In the tiny hair that grows in clusters,
In the surface skin that spreads,
In the flesh beneath, sore and ruddy,
In the gushing blood that stream within
In ceaseless ills that cleave the heart
In all I searched; but, in vain…
Alas! With thy glory when I perceived,
Thy ‘self’ is revealed and myself too!
